This refurbishment continues the valued partnership between Grove of Narberth and the team at Martin Hulbert Design, following the successful transformation of the garden cottages into six new suites in 2016. The project has refurbished the reception rooms, lounges, restaurant and bar areas drawing inspiration from the Narberth Hills and Welsh crafts and textiles. Like the cottages, Martin and Jay have thoughtfully designed every detail to deliver magical interiors with a handmade feel, sympathetic to the early arts and crafts heritage of this old house.
In the secluded setting, all spaces are warm, cosy, sophisticated and full of charm. The interiors champion local materials and craftsmanship at every turn – coal, slate, steel, wool, wood, lace and stone. You will find original Pembrokeshire artwork and photography, handmade original furniture, vintage lace and quilts, simple local pottery and crafted love spoons alongside richly coloured Persian rugs and antique furniture to give an eclectic feel that is unique to Grove. The colour schemes are in harmony with the soft rolling landscape outside with chalky hues, plenty of light and shade and interesting textures featured throughout.
