Internships

Each year, we offer Internship opportunities in our businesses that allow students to experience the hospitality industry and understand what it takes to succeed in a leading luxury hospitality business.

Our Internship positions are aimed at high-performing students, who require practical work experience and exposure to the world of luxury hospitality. To date we have placed students in key departments such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Reception which typically last from 3 to 6 months. Our internships really are an excellent chance to receive our on-the-job training, exposure to our company culture and the chance to learn from our highly experienced and professional team.

Trainee Management Programme

Our Seren Trainee Management Programme is designed to develop the knowledge and skills that are required across our business and the broader industry. The candidates work in each of the departments of the Hotel over the course of 24 months getting real experience of how one of the few 4 AA Red Star Hotels in Wales operates.

Some of the challenges faced on the journey will put the candidate’s resolve to the test.  We want the trainees to succeed and we offer continuous support through a dedicated mentor and the departmental managers themselves.  We expect trainees to demonstrate initiative by driving the learning process, asking questions and being inquisitive to know more. 

If the trainees meet our requirements after the 24 months, they will be offered a role within the Seren Collection but our commitment to them doesn’t stop there.  During the following 2 years with us, we will also arrange for two placements a year in other hotels/organisations to help them further develop their management skills and knowledge of how other businesses operate.
